We live in a busy seaside area in Thanet with no industry just farming. We need these fields we have left for food production. Our infrastructure is already overloaded and houses are being built all over, especially at Westwood.

Our block of flats was recently purchased without residents being given the right of first refusal which we would have accepted. The new freeholder has already submitted 3 planning applications to build on the property and there has been very little we can do to prevent it. We had a very large fire last year and only just had a new roof put on and now we will have to go through another lengthy set of building works for several more years which is very distressing for everyone living in the block. I have been shocked and dismayed learning through this process how little rights we as leaseholders have as the people living in the property. The balance of power is completely unfair towards residents in favour of developers.
