Planning is a very important environmental tool that helped to safeguard our wildlife, give us access to the countryside that benefited our health and wellbeing, and enabled sustainable, less intensive farming. It enabled healthier sourcing of food, and more environmental way of living that is inspiring and sustainable. It is important that people can have access to the countryside-next-door for various reasons from exercise, recreation and mental health. Please consider our different lives and needs that can include horse riding, wild swimming and cross-country running, plus things like birdwatching, walking and drawing therefore do need the green spaces to open countryside.

The proposed changes to Planning Law are fundamentally undemocratic and an erosion of individual rights and freedoms. We must retain our rights to influence the communities and environment in which we live.
